I joined Kirsten's 30-day self-hypnosis workshop for chronic pain so that I could gain some tools to help me release my chronic pain that I've been living with for many years. I joined Kirsten's 30-day self-hypnosis workshop for chronic pain so that I could gain some tools to help me release my chronic pain that I've been living with for many years. Over the years I've viewed my pain as a sign that my body had failed me. This belief has led to me having a hostile, frustrated and uncompassionate relationship with my body.
The easy daily mii self-hypnosis sessions were short and focused. While I still find it challenging at times to guide myself into hypnosis especially with a mind that tends to wander, I could effectively release pain and stiffness for several hours after a session. I will certainly go back to the daily themes and pointers, as they are great tools to deal with my pain and stress. The journal prompts gave me a quick and meaningful way to check in with my emotions and thoughts as to why I was in pain at that time.
I view these self-hypnosis tools as a meaningful form of self-care which will over time rewire my negative relationship with my body into one that's caring and positive.
